Gittelsohn, Roland

Gittelsohn, Roland
(1910-95)
   American rabbi. He was born in Cleveland. He was rabbi at the Central Synagogue of Nassau Country in Long Island from 1936 to 1953, then served as rabbi of Temple Israel in Boston. In 1968 he became president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. His writings include Modern Jewish Problems, Little Lower than the Angels, Man's Best Hope, My Beloved Is Mine and Fire in My Bones.
